Born in Santiago de Cuba where she learned dance, music, theater and singing at the conservatory, Aniurka has been living in France for more than 20 years. She sang and danced in various salsa formations, such as the groups "Corazon", "Iya Emi", or the magazine "Pau Caraibes" and she accompanied on tour the brilliant Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez. Always passionate about writing texts, poems and songs, she decides to stand on her own feet and judiciously title her project Poder Volar (“Flying Power” which could also be translated as “Dreaming Power”).
